This lecture is mainly attended by geologists of the two Universities of Graz and by civil engineers. Professor Goldbrunner has been giving it every year in the winter semester since 1987.
Focus areas of the lecture have slightly changed over the years. At the beginning the theoretical approach to the temperature field in the subsoil and deep groundwater circulation were given priority. Over time the lecturer was able to draw upon his experience gained from numerous geothermal projects he has managed in Austria and Southern Germany and could incorporate this know-how into the content of the lecture.
