Client: VAMED Standortentwicklung und Engineering GmbH & Co. KG
Location: Geinberg (Upper Austria)
Time period: 1996 - 2008

Project:

Drilling of a deviated well (total depth 3155m) to secure the demand for thermal water and to establish a geothermal doublet in Geinberg.
The geothermal doublet allows a balneological and energetic use of thermal water (thermal bath Geinberg).
The project was supported by the EU "EGRA = ENERGY FROM GEOTHERMAL RESOURCE IN AUSTRIA". Objective: Optimisation of geothermal energy, establishment of cascade use for the best possible use of the geothermic potential.

Services:

Existing well Geinberg 1 (KW-exploration well of RAG 1974):

  • Hydrogeological opinion on the possible interference of the probes in Bad Füssing caused by the drilling Geinberg 1

Deviated well GeinbergThermal 2:

  • Geological feasibility study
  • Administration of approval processes (water and mining law)
  • Geological/technical design and construction documentation
  • Administration of the EU-wide tendering procedure
  • Drafting of a drilling contract
  • Construction management, supervision and documentation of the deep drilling

Doublet Geinberg:

  • Planning and tendering for the establishment of continuous operation
  • Application for an operating permit for the doublet Geinberg
  • Hydrogeological monitoring
  • Consultancy during continuous operation
