Project:

The power plant Ritzersdorf was built as a diversion hydropower plant, where the dam is located at the level of the village Gasselsdorf and the powerhouse is located west of the village Wasendorf.

Geoteam was responsible for hydrogeological preliminary investigations, provided a forecast of the hydrogeological impact on the local water supply and prepared the hydrogeological submission documents for water authorities.

The construction works for hydroelectric power plant Ritzersdorf started in June 2004 and were completed in the spring of 2005. Geoteam was responsible for the planning, consulting and support of the construction and the management, evaluation and documentation of groundwater monitoring data.

The groundwater monitoring programme included qualitative and quantita-tive measurements at 13 selected wells and groundwater probes. During the monitoring period (11/2002 - 04/2005) a pressure probe with data logger was installed in one of the wells. The measurements were then summarised, evaluated and hydrogeologically interpreted by the project manager.
