In 2008, the deep well Altdorf Thermal 1 was drilled for the project 'Altdorf' (depth 611 m, T 65 °C). In 2012, the well Altdorf Thermal 2 was deepened for the completion of the doublet (depth 780 m, T 64 °C).
Objective: Geothermal energy use for heat supply in the municipal area Altdorf.

- Examination of the geological feasibility
- Drafting of geological/technical design and construction documentation
- Administration of approval processes during the exploration phase (obtaining and renewing of licence area, permits required by water law, operating plan approval under mining law)
- Administration of tendering and contract award procedure and drafting of a drilling contract
- Construction and project supervision of the drilling
- Documentation of results
